Who Is Responsible
This website is run by João Igor Piçarra Monteiro, Portugal. For anything about your personal data, email dmjoaoigor@gmail.com.
What I Collect, and Why
When you use the contact form, I receive the topic you choose, your name, your email address, your company or organization if you add it, and your message. I use them only to read your message and reply to you, and to follow up on what you wrote about. I don't use them for marketing, and I don't sell or share them with anyone else.
The legal basis is your request to be contacted, and steps taken at your request before any agreement (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), together with my legitimate interest in answering messages (Article 6(1)(f)).
To stop spam, the form also keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for one hour, to limit how many messages can be sent from one connection. Your IP address itself isn't stored.
Offers Campaign, October to December 2026
Until December 31, 2026, the home page also has an offers form, for a free 60-minute strategy session or a €500 discount on a digital project. When you apply, I receive which offer you chose, the goals you select, your short description, your name, your email address and how you prefer to be contacted. I also receive anything optional you decide to add: your phone number, company, website or LinkedIn, project stage or type of solution and its follow-up answers, investment or budget range, type of funding, project location, when you want to start, sector, team size, and the topics or tools you select. To know which posts work, the form also notes where you came from (for example a LinkedIn link) and the page you arrived on.
I use this only to assess your application, tell you whether the session or discount is awarded, and arrange it with you. I don't use it for marketing, and I don't sell or share it. The legal basis is steps taken at your request before any agreement (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). Applications go through the same contact form system, so the spam protection, storage and retention below apply to them in the same way.
Where Your Message Goes
- It's stored on the server that hosts this site, provided by Amen (team.blue) in the European Union.
- A copy is emailed to my Gmail inbox, provided by Google.
How Long I Keep It
I keep messages, including offer applications, for as long as we're in contact about what you wrote, and for no more than two years after our last exchange. You can ask me to delete yours at any time.
Cookies and Analytics
The home page asks whether you accept analytics. Only if you accept, it loads Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which sections and links are used. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_RX42YF7HMH) that can last up to two years, and it doesn't store IP addresses. Google may process this data outside the European Union under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), and the data is kept for no longer than 14 months.
If you decline, no analytics code is loaded and no cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of the home page.
The site also saves your light or dark mode choice and your cookie choice in your own browser; nothing about them is sent to me. While the offers campaign runs, it also saves your language for the offers, whether you closed the offers window (so it stays closed for seven days) or already applied, and, until you close the tab, the campaign link you arrived from. If you accepted analytics, Google Analytics also counts when the offers window is opened and when an application is sent, without any of your answers. There are no advertising trackers. The typeface is loaded from the jsDelivr content network, which, like any web server, receives your IP address to deliver the file.
Your Rights
You can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how I use it, or receive a copy. Email dmjoaoigor@gmail.com and I'll reply within one month. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
